Iron Man Armored Adventures

Main Characters

Tony Stark

Tony Stark is the son of Howard  and Maria Stark. Tony had used to go to school like other kids, but when his mother passed away, his father decided to keep him close by. Staying isolated from school, Tony excelled in the corporate world, developing new technologies for Stark International, his father's company, to the point that the scientists there were unable to figure out how most of the things he made actually worked. His only friend was James Rhodes, the son of his father's lawyer, Roberta Rhodes. Tony had just completed his new invention, a flying suit of armor, and was convinced it would impress his father. Sometime later, Tony designed a laser system for his father's new Earth Mover machines, meant to help in archaeological digs and disaster relief.Tony was planning on showing him the new flight-capable armor he had developed. However, their plane blew up, and Tony's father was believed to have died. Tony and Rhodey go to his new lab inside the Stark compound near Rhodey's house. Tony uses his new armor to spy on Stane. Through a communication line, Rhodey tells Tony that there is a runaway train that is going to crash into Stark Tower, and if it succeeds, hundreds of lives will be killed. Stark changes the tracks to an unfinished rail and managed to stop the train, almost draining his heart's power. The news of the incident was reported all over. The people call the armored hero, "Iron Man". Stark takes this as an opportunity to save Stark International from itself and finding out what happened to his dad.

James Rhodes

After Tony lost his father, Howard Stark in an airplane accident, Tony was sent to live with the Rhodes family and attends the same science-intensive high school as Rhodes, the Tomorrow Academy. Rhodes was the only one who knew about the Iron Man armor since the beginning and often shows concern when Tony does something dangerous such as when Tony sided with Blizzard in Cold War or when Tony added reverse-engineered super villain tech to the Iron Man armor in Seeing Red. Rhodes now takes a more active role in fighting injustice now that he has the War Machine armor. His place as the monitor of the armor systems is now replaced by Pepper Potts. Also, he accompanies Iron Man on missions if he ever needs help. Rhodey helps Tony on many missions that involve powerful foes like Mandarin, Iron Monger, Titanium Man, Doctor Doom, Magneto, Whiplash, Blizzard and he was a part of the team that defended the City from the Makluan race.

Pepper Potts

Pepper appears to be a good and close friend of Rhodey, but Tony had never actually met her until he had started going to school with them, though when she first meets Tony she displays an almost encyclopedic knowledge of his life, explaining she knows this by reading her father's FBI files from their investigation into the death of Howard Stark and any possible involvement by Obadiah Stane. She is also able to get into her father's files and find any info on criminals like Blizzard as well as Gene Khan's stepfather whenever needed, though she tends to become completely fascinated by her research, which creeps out Tony, and later Gene.
Pepper now replaces Rhodey since he became War Machine as the station operator at the Armory computer terminal to monitor both of their systems as they fight evil. Pepper also desires her own armored suit and the concept repeats itself throughout the season.  In Hostile Takeover, Pepper Potts controls the Stealth Armor and uses it to save Tony's life at Justin Hammer's ocean fortress. She fights with Iron Man and War Machine against the villains that captured him, but the armor gets destroyed by Titanium Man. Tony was impressed by her performance in combat that he decided to make Pepper her own armor, using the money that he will make from his own new company, Stark Solutions.

Gene Khan

Years ago, the original Mandarin's last descendant, Temugin, had dreams of the ten Makluan Rings and the Makluan alien race. He had then learned the story of the Makluan Rings from his mother and how he is destined to have them all. They already have one of the rings and as they were planning to go on a quest to find the rings, his mother remarried a man named Zhang.Temugin changed his name to Gene Khan and he managed to take the ring back from Zhang and imprisoned him, posing as him in front of his men, thanks to the armor. As the new Mandarin, he successfully took another ring from Obadiah Stane, and faced for the first time, Iron Man. Now leading the Tong as he could, Gene started conflicts with the Maggia. As Gene, he ironically befriended Tony Stark, and enrolled at his school when discovering Stark could help him find the rings. This later causes Gene to team up with Stark, Rhodes, and Pepper in order to get the rings. Gene now searches for the remaining five rings to complete his quest with the kidnapped Howard Stark accompanying him. Gene has located the sixth temple, defeated its guardian, the Melter, and took the sixth ring.
